May 4th, 2023 Dear Marceline R-V Families: On Monday, May 1st, Governor Parson issued this press release announcing the recipients of the first round of the new School Safety Grant program. As stated in the press release, 169 school districts in Missouri received grants with Marceline R-V being one of them. While applying for this grant, it was clear that if awarded, our maximum amount was $100,000. I am pleased to announce, that Marceline R-V was awarded the entire $100,000 for the School Safety Grant. This funding will help the school district continue to make school safety improvements. Safety/security is one of the key components to some of our bond issue projects and this funding will help us to expand our focus in this area. Among other things, we plan to use this funding to provide safety-specific training to staff, added physical security features, new/upgraded software/hardware safety systems, and new/upgraded health safety equipment. In conclusion, we take school safety very seriously and plan to use these funds to continue upgrading in needed areas. It is a great day to be a Tiger! Respectfully, Dr. Zach Bruner, Superintendent
