Dear Marceline R-V Community,
It is good to have the students and staff back at school after a well-deserved break. I hope everyone reading this had a great holiday season. Please see below for some districtwide news/updates.
News/Updates:
Winter Concerts
In December there were Winter Concerts for all age levels, which were a great success. Mrs. Lay, Mr. Christy, the entire ELC staff, and all of the students involved in these respective concerts deserve special recognition for doing such a great job. I heard many compliments about these programs, which were all well-deserved.
Food Service Update
I want to thank our kitchen staff for working very hard to transition over the past two months. The students and staff are being provided with more options, which has been well received. It takes a lot of hard work to provide these consistent meals while transitioning to a new program, and it is much appreciated.
Winter Sports/Activities
Our winter sports/activities are well underway. Please stay tuned to our social media pages/website as our A.D., Kirsten Ewigman does a great job of updating the community on what is going on with our athletics/activities each week.
GRC Conference
A few weeks ago, I put out a press release announcing that Marceline R-V will be joining the GRC Conference in 2024-25. Since the press release, I have spoken with multiple media outlets to explain the reasoning behind the decision that the Board of Education ultimately made. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to me. Ultimately, we are very excited about this opportunity.
Tiger Debit Cards
Each time customers swipe their special Tiger debit card; a donation is made to the school. Regional Missouri Bank generously presented a check to the school district for $11,161.68 representing the donations from July of 2021 to June of 2022 (picture posted above).
Regional Missouri Bank began offering the Marceline Tiger Debit card in September of 2016 and has since donated $40,901.08 to the Marceline R-V School District. We are extremely grateful to them and the customers who choose to support us.
