The Marceline R-V Public Schools Educational Foundation was first formed on March 21, 1997. The Board of Directors, which consisted of nine individuals who represented the various banking businesses, the Board of Education, the Athletic Booster Club, the Band Boosters, and teachers from both the elementary and secondary schools, first met April 21, 1997, to establish a Mission Statement, which is as follows: To raise and distribute additional funds in order to assist the Marceline School District in providing the best possible educational experience for the district's students. Soon after its formation, the Education Foundation became a non-profit (501c.3) organization. Projects that have been completed by the Foundation include:
Interactive teaching software for the foreign language department
Interactive teaching software for the elementary school
Furnishings for the special education facilities
Replacement of tartan field house floor
Student scholarships to summer Missouri Highway Patrol Academy
Interactive computer technology for language arts teachers
Facilitation of the purchase of athletic uniforms
Photo-editing software
Reading materials for classrooms
New, safer risers for vocal and instrumental music students
Safety Town equipment
New video equipment for the district
Bell Game Commemorative Program
Dinner and the school play
Tailgate Education Community Celebration
The foundation holds successful signature fundraising events. Teachers, students, and patrons of Marceline R-V are encouraged to think about needs and wishes for the school not covered by the school budget.

Periodic meetings are held to discuss issues related to the mission and goals of the Educational Foundation. The Marceline R-V Educational Foundation would like to thank the community for its continued support.
