May 3rd, 2023  Dear Marceline R-V Community,  It is an extremely busy and exciting time of year with many events taking place; so please see below for some districtwide news/updates.  News/Updates:  Bond Issue Projects The Bond Issue projects are set to begin this summer. I will keep the community updated on the progress through the school’s social media pages and website. Again, I want to thank the community for all of the support to get this Bond Issue passed as these projects are much-needed. For a list of the projects, please click on the following link: https://www.marcelineschools.org/page/bond-information-2023  Summer School Summer School begins on Monday, May 22nd, and ends on Friday, June 23rd. Our Summer Journey program is for students going into grades K-8. Fortunately, we have received a grant which will allow our students to eat breakfast and lunch for free during Summer Journey. This year we have a record number of students attending which is exciting for all involved.  Student APR Celebration All students districtwide will receive a Kona Ice treat as a reward for all of the hard work that went into our successful APR score. We are excited for the students to be celebrated for this accomplishment.  Upcoming End-of-Year, Academic Events  May 8th - Art Show in the MS/HS gynasiums (4:30-6:30 p.m.) May 9th - HS Academic Achievement Banquet at the Walsworth Community Center (6:00 p.m.) May 11th - Senior Awards Program in the Field House (7:00 p.m.) May 14th - HS Graduation in the Field House (1:00 p.m.) May 17th - Pre-K Graduation in the MS/HS Auditorium (6:00 p.m.) May 18th - Last Day of School (12:30 Dismissal) May 22nd - Summer School Begins   It is an exciting time of year and we look forward to finishing strong.
