The Marceline High School Lady Tigers won their sectional game in convincing fashion with a 16-3 victory over East Buchanan last night. The Lady Tigers will host a quarterfinal game versus the Lady Huskers of Lafayette County at Lions Field this Saturday (10/26) at 4:00pm. Entry fee for this MSHSAA event will be $7 for ages 6 and up. Season passes and senior discounts will not be accepted. The concession stand will have a full range of food and drinks sponsored by the Marceline Booster Club.
In order to accommodate the anticipated large crowd and additional traffic, the City of Marceline and Downtown Marceline have agreed to move the start time for the 6th Annual Trick or Trot 5k Dash and Splash from 4:30pm up to 11:00am. The Marceline R-V Schools would like to thank them for generously changing their schedule for this event. We would encourage everyone to support the Trick or Trot 5k by signing up and participating in this event. Downtown Marceline does a wonderful job providing events like the Trick or Trot and we want to thank them for the countless things they do to support our community.
We would like to invite everyone to start your Saturday with the Trick or Trot 5k at 11:00am, then put on your black and gold and come cheer on our Lady Tigers at Lions Field at 4:00pm!

Congratulations to the Lady Tigers on their sectional win tonight 16-3!

School picture retake day is Thursday, Oct. 24. Please send your child’s picture packet back to school tomorrow if you would like their picture retaken.

Marceline students scored at least 12% higher than the state average on the Missouri Assessment Program in the spring of 2019 in the areas of English language arts, math, and science. At last night’s monthly Marceline R-V Board of Education meeting, Mrs. Sarah Dunham, elementary principal, and Mr. Matt Finch, middle school/high school principal, shared disaggregated 2019 testing data. Their presentation highlighted grade level testing results in comparison to historical data as well as to the district’s performance in comparison to state testing results.
