Congratulations to MHS sophomore Joe Wright on his 4th place finish and MMS 7th grader Ely Allen on being the first GRC Middle School Cross Country Conference Champion!

Last night we honored our football, cross country, cheer, and band seniors! These athletes and musicians have definitely left their mark on Marceline High School

Congratulations to the MS/HS students of the week!

Friday night, we recognized Joe Sportsman, the 2025-2026 MIAAA Distinguished Service Award recipient. Joe is a Marceline Class of 1951 alumni who has dedicated over 50 years of service to the Marceline football program. He began his service to Black Rage football in 1973 where he spent 16 years on the chain gang. In 1988, he became the announcer for middle school football while still serving the chain gang for high school games. In 1991, he started his 16 year career as “The voice of the Tigers” followed by several years as the spotter for Barry Smith and Mike Kelly. He was one of the original Stadium Club members where he spent decades helping paint the field here at Chester Ray. In addition, Joe served as a MSHSAA basketball official for 30 years- officiating the Bucklin Junior High Tournament every year. This year marks 76 years since Joe has walked the halls as a student at MHS, and we are honored to recognize him with the Distinguished Service Award. Thanks, Joe.

We had "Music Play with Mrs. Lay," for our most recent Parents as Teachers group connection. It was a great turnout and was a lot of fun! Thank you to Mrs. Lay and everyone that attended!

Because of the excessive precipitation, the grass areas north and south of the driveway down to the football field will be roped off and off-limits for parking tonight. Everyone must park in paved areas tonight. We appreciate the cooperation in advance.

Tonight's MS and HS home softball games against Highland and Chillicothe have been canceled.

Last night we honored our MHS softball seniors. This group of talented athletes have had an immense impact on our activities programs at Marceline High School. On behalf of the Marceline High School coaches, administrators, and teachers, we would like to thank you for seniors for your dedication to your programs. We are proud of your accomplishments and will be forever grateful for the lasting impact you have had on Marceline High School. Parents and family members we also congratulate you on raising these leaders and thank you for your support throughout the years.
