Yesterday , Marceline High School senior Marc Garcia signed his letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic pursuits at Westminister College. Marc was a vital member of our Black Rage football team the past four years. Marc was just shy of 300 tackles for his career. Marc was selected as all-conference 2 years, all-district 2 years, and is up for all-state honors this year. He was also just selected for the KMZU defensive dream team. We wish Marc the best of luck in his future and are proud of all his accomplishments. Congratulations, Marc.

Wednesday Night Tiger Scores MS girls lost to South Shelby 16-41. They will play for 3rd place Saturday morning at 9:00. MS boys defeated North Shelby 38-23. They will play in the championship Saturday at 10:15. Varsity boys lost to Glasgow 38-68 in the second round of the Glasgow tournament.

Monday Night Tiger Scores Varsity boys basketball lost to Harrisburg in the first round of the Glasgow Tournament 28-68. They will play Wednesday at 9:00. MS girls basketball defeated North Shelby 31-25 and MS boys defeated South Shelby 44-35 at the South Shelby Tournament. Boys will play Wednesday at 5:10 followed by girls at 6:20.

Today, Marceline High School senior Lance O’Dell signed his letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic pursuits at William Woods University. Lance was a vital member of our Tigers golf team the past three years- contributing to 1 district championship, 1 second place finish in districts, and 1 State runner-up finish. Individually, Lance has been a 4 time all-conference performer- finishing 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in the LCC and 2nd in the GRC. He is a 3 time state qualifier earning 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in Districts and a 2 time state medalist finishing 12th and 14th. He has dominated local events winning 4 individual titles, as well. And there is still work to be done- Lance will partake in his final Tiger Golf season this spring with aspirations of continuing his winning traditions. We wish Lance the best of luck in his future and are proud of all his accomplishments. Congratulations, Lance.
