Each year, we honor a junior male and female with an award to highlight their dedication in the classroom as multi-sport athletes. This year's recipients are-

Congratulations to MHS junior Lance O'Dell for earning 12th place at the state golf tournament yesterday! We are proud of you, Lance!
After day 1 of State golf, Lance O'Dell is tied for 9th place with a score of 79. Good luck today, Lance!
The informational meeting with Megan Tschannen on Supporting Mental Health awareness and the resources available in our area will take place from 6-7 in the high school auditorium. This presentation is for MS/HS students, parents, teachers, and any other community members interested in learning more about community resources that are available.

Congratulations to MHS Junior Lance O'Dell on qualifying for State Golf. He shot an 81 at districts on Thursday tying for 4th place. He will golf in Joplin on May 13th and 14th. Good luck, Lance!

MHS Athletics Update
*District Track @ Monroe City on Saturday will be a cash ONLY gate. $6/person

Yesterday, Marceline High School senior Payton Weese signed her letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic pursuits at Doane University. Payton was a vital member of our Lady Tigers wrestling team for 3 years- contributing to various team successes. Payton was a Grand River Conference Champion, a 3 time district runner up, 1 time sectional champion, and our first ever 3 time state medalist- earning 3rd place all 3 years.
For the state of Missouri, Payton finished her career ranked 10th for season wins with 43 and currently holds the record for takedowns in a season with 70.
We wish Payton the best of luck in her future and are proud of all her accomplishments. Congratulations, Payton.
Due to tomorrow's forecast, the high school boys district golf tournament will now be Friday (5/3) at Heritage Hills Golf Course in Moberly.
