The MMS Science Olympiad team competed Saturday at Regionals - Truman State University - Kirksville, MO.
Competition categories included:
Ecology - 1st Place - Iris Smith (8) and Nash Ramirez (8)
Code Busters - 2nd Place - Will Allen (6), Weston Chowning (6) and Logan Kidd (6)
Scrambler - 2nd Place - Iris Smith (8) and Sylas Markov (8)
Tower - 2nd Place - Nash Ramirez (8) and Sylas Markov (8)
Entomology - 4th Place - Sylas Markov (8) and Iris Smith (8)
Potions and Poisons - 4th Place - Sylas Markov (8) and Iris Smith (8)
Crime Busters - 5th Place - Weston Chowning (6) and Logan Kidd (6)

The High School Science Olympiad team competed in the Region II Science Olympiad at Truman University in Kirksville on Saturday. We had two teams of students participating with the Gold team bringing home 2nd place.

Senior girls dinner will still be held on Thursday. Please arrive by 6 pm and dress warm.

The Marceline R-V School District will not have in-person classes on Thursday, 2/20. The wind chills will be dangerously low tomorrow at the worst times. Please see the graphic below for more information on that. Tomorrow will be an AMI Day. This is our final AMI day. The ELC will be open for childcare only. AMI work for elementary students will be posted in your child's classroom on the SeeSaw Family App. If you are not connected to your child's classroom, their work will be emailed to you. Please reach out to your child's teacher with any questions. 6th-12th grade students need to log on to Google Classroom. We are eager to get back to school and plan to be back in session on Friday, 2/21. It will be cold, but better on Friday, so please encourage the kids to dress in layers. Stay safe and warm!

Due to the status of the secondary roads, the Marceline R-V School District will not have in-person classes on Thursday, 2/13. Tomorrow will be an AMI Day. The ELC will be open for childcare only. K-5th grade students need to do AMI Packet 2, and 6th-12th grade students need to log on to Google Classroom. Classes will be back in session on Tuesday, 2/18.
